Queer Family Tree: Vickie

This installment of Queer Family Tree introduces Vickie. Created by filmmaker Tay Barrett in 2018, the mini documentary series meets members of the gay and lesbian community one at a time and explores the individual journeys that led each person to self-acceptance and self-love. In about five minutes, Vickie's episode offers a personal account of one of those journeys, told simply and directly. The series' title points to its larger idea: that these stories, gathered together, form a family tree of experiences that connects people across different lives and backgrounds. Short and heartfelt, Vickie's chapter is one more voice in that ongoing collection.
