Queer Family Tree: Ronnie

Ronnie is the subject of this short installment of Queer Family Tree, a 2018 mini documentary series directed by Tay Barrett. The series meets members of the gay and lesbian community one person at a time and asks them to share how they found their way to self-acceptance and self-love. Ronnie's episode runs about two minutes, a quick but personal glimpse of one life and the path it has taken. The format is deliberately pared down, letting a single voice carry the story. Viewed alongside the other chapters, Ronnie's account becomes part of a larger family tree of experiences, a collection of personal histories that together show how many different roads lead to the same place: being at home in yourself.
