All You Need Is Less
Made by young filmmakers Adira Blades, Angelica Guillén and Erin Dela Cruz through the Girls' Voices Now program in Los Angeles, this nine-minute documentary takes a hard look at fast fashion and what it really costs. Following the trail from the factories where clothes are made to the social media feeds where trends are born, the film examines the environmental and human toll of cheap, disposable clothing, and how much of that burden falls on women at every step. It also asks viewers to think about their own habits as shoppers and about the part social media plays in pushing new trends. The film was nominated for a Children's & Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Live Action Short Form Program in 2025. A clear-eyed, youth-led call to rethink our relationship with what we wear, and a reminder that the future of fashion is shaped by the choices people make every day.
