You, Me, Us

Elizabeth has been keeping her biggest secret locked away — and that secret is a he. In this five-minute short directed by Danylo Hauk, the self Elizabeth shows the world must contend with a hidden male side that is now determined to break free. Elena Isabel and Reid Barraza share the screen as the two halves of this divided identity, turning an inner conflict into something physical and visible. Written by Elizabeth Roy Payne, the film works as a compact metaphor for living with more than one sense of self, and for the tension between what we hide and who we are. Brief but expressive, You, Me, Us is a creative look at self-acceptance and at the moment when a part of oneself refuses to stay quiet any longer, no matter how hard one tries to keep the door closed.
