Voodoo Academy

Carmichael Bible College looks like a wholesome place for young men to study, but the school is not nearly as holy as it appears. New student Christopher Sawyer (Riley Smith) soon senses that something is wrong, and as classmates begin to disappear he discovers that the Reverend Carmichael (Chad Burris) and the elegant Mrs. Bouvier (Debra Mayer) have dark plans for the young men in their care. With the faculty's sinister after-hours activities coming to light, the students must fight to make it to graduation with body and soul still their own. Directed by David DeCoteau from a script by Eric Black, this 2000 horror film also features Huntley Ritter and Drew Fuller, and it leans on atmosphere, occult rituals and moody dormitory scenes rather than gore. Stylish and knowingly campy, Voodoo Academy is a supernatural tale of temptation and survival set behind the gates of a very unusual college.
