Turning Teddy

Teddy Windslow is a former athlete who has lost his direction and is running himself ragged when he takes a job working for Sebastian Black, a Hollywood action star. Teddy has always been attracted to women, so no one is more surprised than he is when he begins falling for his famous boss. Around him, fellow assistants Amad and Kareem are busy keeping the lives of their own celebrity employers on track, each navigating the demands, glamour and pressure of working behind the scenes in Hollywood. Written by Waymon Boone, this four-episode drama series from 2023 stars Jamel King as Teddy and Dwayne Tarver as Sebastian, with Stephen Simon as Amad and Camryn Lee as Kareem. Turning Teddy looks at ambition, attraction and self-discovery through the eyes of the people who keep the stars' lives running, and asks what happens when the job suddenly becomes personal.
