The Male Gaze: A Better Tomorrow

Five short films, five countries and one shared hope that tomorrow can be better than today. This anthology in the Male Gaze series travels from Mexico to Spain, on to Austria, and then to China by way of Greece, following gay men as they work through the obstacles standing between them and self-acceptance. Each film is a complete story, and together they trace the many ways men come to terms with who they are and decide where their lives are headed next, whether that means a first confession, a hard conversation with family or simply allowing themselves to want something. The cast includes Koldo Olabarri, Nils Hohenhövel, Iñigo Aranburu and Thodoris Vrachas. Different in language and tone but united by warmth and honesty, the collection runs about an hour and forty minutes and makes a rich, wide-ranging evening of international storytelling.
