The Immensity

Siblings Paolina and Antonio have taken on the hardest kind of friendship: staying beside their friend Giacomo as a terminal illness brings his life to its final days. In Sabrina Odoguardio's Argentine drama, the time the three share becomes a place where wishes, dreams and reality start to run together, and every hour is a small victory against the one opponent none of them can defeat, time itself. Odoguardio wrote and directed the film, which stars Leandro Piccolo, Emiliano Candau and Florencia Occhiuzo and runs about seventy-five minutes. Quiet and contemplative, The Immensity is less concerned with illness than with what people give one another at the end: attention, memory, imagination and love. The film earned an Honorable Mention for Best Original Score at the Cinematic European Film Festival in Romania in 2024 and was an official selection of the Best International Film Festival in Bucharest and the San Diego Independent Filmmaker's Festival.
