Rent Free

Best friends Ben and Jordan have hit bottom, emotionally and financially, so they come up with a plan as bold as it is cheeky: spend a full year without paying a cent in rent. Ben is gay, Jordan is bisexual, and together they set out to stay with friends, family and total strangers across an Austin that is changing fast around them. The scheme keeps a roof over their heads, but it also tests their patience, their pride and the friendship that got them into this in the first place. Directed by Fernando Andrés, who wrote the film with Tyler Rugh, the comedy-drama stars Jacob Roberts and David Treviño, with Zeke Goodman. Rent Free was nominated for Best Narrative Feature in the U.S. Narrative Competition at the 2024 Tribeca Festival. It is a funny and honest look at friendship, growing up and the cost of living on other people's kindness.
