Remarkable Shades of Gay

Remarkable Shades of Gay is an anthology film that gathers several stories about contemporary gay life into one feature. In one, two men who consider themselves straight end up having a fling. In another, a gay couple tries to help their son get through a breakup. An athlete begins to question his sexuality, and a woman learns that the man in her life has chosen another man over her. Directed by Branden Blinn, the film moves between comedy, heartbreak and self-discovery, letting each segment show a different side of desire, family and identity. The cast includes Carlos Salas, Nick Soper, Adam Kalesperis, Gregg Rogen and Smith Crowe. Running 110 minutes, it plays as a mosaic of relationships at different stages, linked by the idea that coming to terms with who you are rarely happens in a straight line.
