Red Yellow Pink
Red Yellow Pink is the story of a mother and her son, and of the distance between them. He is gay; she is a strict Roman Catholic. As he tries to live his life openly, the tension between their two worlds grows, and a quiet strain at home turns into real conflict. At the heart of the film is a simple, difficult question: can the love between a parent and child prove stronger than prejudice? Written, produced and directed by Jolanta Warpechowski, this 2020 Polish drama stars David Paul, Agnieszka Salamon and Wojciech Galzinski. Running 89 minutes, it keeps its focus on one family and one household rather than on speeches, and it makes a sincere case for acceptance and against discrimination through the bond between a son and the mother who must decide what matters most.
