Queer Quickies

Queer Quickies is Here TV's anthology series of short films, gathering several compact stories into each episode for a quick hit of independent filmmaking. Every installment mixes directors, countries and styles, so a single sitting might move from romance to comedy to drama to something more experimental, each piece offering its own take on gay and lesbian lives and relationships. The series premiered in 2023 and has run for two seasons, with roughly an hour of programming per episode. Because the films come from many different filmmakers, the cast changes from story to story; featured performers include Branwyn Ritchie, Susan Becker, Nicole Hazelnut and Polina Ogareva. Easy to dip into and rewarding to watch in a row, Queer Quickies is an inviting way to sample the range and imagination of today's short-film makers, one quick story at a time.
