Other People's Bodies

Inspired by the French classic La Piscine, writer-director Alan Brown's Other People's Bodies brings four people with a shared past — former friends and former lovers — together for one sweltering summer weekend. The reunion is supposed to be relaxed, but it does not take long for old desires, resentments and regrets to rise back to the surface. As the days stretch out by the pool, attractions shift, loyalties are tested and the question of who still wants whom becomes harder to ignore. McKinley Belcher III, Jasai Chase-Owens, Annie Parisse and A.J. Shively lead the cast, with Adam Jepsen. Running 86 minutes and moving between comedy and drama, the film is a sultry, grown-up story about desire, jealousy and the marks people leave on one another long after a relationship ends. Other People's Bodies was an official selection of NewFest in New York in 2025.
