Hellvira's Haunted Asylum of Horror

Pull up a chair and dim the lights: Hellvira (Sushii Xhyvette Holder), a horror hostess straight from the underworld and a loving nod to Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, is on the air. With her troupe of freaks and monsters, among them Tammy Jo Sugartits, Bewitching Bakerella, Nurse Daphne and Jester the Dread, she presents George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead, breaking in between scenes with bawdy burlesque comedy in the style of vintage late-night horror television. Written and directed by Morgan Welborn, this 118-minute camp spectacle recreates the classic horror-host format with a mischievous sense of humor. Brandi Lyn Dalton and Kyle Pierson are among the cast. It is a cheeky Halloween treat for anyone who grew up on midnight creature features and always wished the host would be a little naughtier.
