Goodbye Rosa

Andi (Carlotta Morelli) and Rosa (Helena Antonio) were school friends in Rome. Years later, Rosa comes to visit Andi in London, and their differences are as clear as ever: Andi is reserved and careful, while Rosa throws herself at life without a second thought. During the visit, which takes them to a lesbian speed-dating night, Rosa's appetite for living helps Andi see that what matters is not whether you are gay or straight, or how much you resemble your bold best friend, but being true to yourself. Directed by Flaminia Graziadei, who produced the film with Michele Wheeler, this 18-minute British short moves between English and Italian and finds gentle humor and real tenderness in a friendship that has outlasted the years. Joanna Ignaczewska also appears.
