Distances

Eva and her son David have never found an easy way to talk to each other. David is deaf, and Eva has never become fluent in sign language, but the real barrier between them runs deeper: a resentment David has carried since he was a child. When Eva comes back to visit her children in Sweden, she hopes to close the gap, and over the course of the visit she discovers that her children still have the power to surprise her.
