Cock N' Bull

Wes has just been dumped by Henry, so he asks his best friend Chris to come over for a quiet night in to take his mind off the breakup. Their plan for cheering up is gloriously immature: prank-calling strangers. It starts out as harmless fun, but the calls quickly spiral into awkward territory, and the two friends begin to suspect this was one of the worst ideas they have ever had. Written by Nathan Adloff and Danny Rhodes, who also play the two friends, and directed by Adloff, Cock N' Bull is an eight-minute comedy built on loose, natural performances and the easy rhythm of a long friendship. It is a quick, funny look at heartbreak, bad decisions and the strange ways people cope when love goes wrong. The short was followed by two sequels, Cock N' Bull 2 and Cock N' Bull 3.
