At the End of the Day

Dave is a conservative Christian professor at a small-town Christian college whose life is already coming apart — his wife has left him and he has lost his counseling job. When the college's dean recruits him to quietly join a local gay support group, the goal is to stop the group from launching a shelter in town for gay and lesbian young people who have no home. Going undercover means listening, and the more Dave gets to know the people in the room, the harder it becomes to see them as opponents. Directed by Kevin O'Brien, who wrote the script with Phil Grimes, this 108-minute comedy-drama stars Stephen Shane Martin, Danielle Sagona, Tom Nowicki and Christopher Cavalier. It won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature at the Tampa Bay International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival in 2018. Funny and heartfelt, At the End of the Day is a story about faith, empathy and how genuine connection can change a person's mind.
