Advent

Suso is young, out of work and drifting after the death of his mother. One day on the Asturian coast he notices a young woman who reminds him of her, and before he can do anything to stop her, she throws herself from a cliff. Shaken, Suso sets out to learn who she was, and the search begins to stir memories he has long kept buried. The more he uncovers, the more the mystery of the stranger turns into a question about himself and who he really is. Co-directed by Roberto F. Canuto and Xu Xiaoxi from Canuto's script, this twenty-minute Spanish psychological drama stars David Soto Giganto as Suso, with Ici Díaz and Lidia Méndez. Advent won the Audience Award for Best Short Film at the 2016 Gijón International Film Festival.
