A World of Dreams: Voices from the Out100

Each year Out magazine names the Out100, its list of the most influential figures in the gay and lesbian community, and this Emmy-nominated Here TV special spends time with twelve members of the 2013 class. Directed by Athena Maroulis, the film sits down with honorees including actress Laverne Cox, mixed martial artist Liz Carmouche, writer Choire Sicha, Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black and actress and comedian Lea DeLaria for conversations about ambition, visibility and the paths that brought them into public life. Part portrait gallery and part oral history, the program captures artists, athletes, writers and activists at a moment when they were changing mainstream culture on their own terms. Produced by Paul Colichman, Stephen P. Jarchow, Josh Rosenzweig and Robbie Imes, it is a snapshot of a generation of trailblazers, told in their own words.
