Houston Blackett (Angus Macfadyen) runs a men's magazine, treats women as conquests and has kept his distance from his mother for years. When she dies, he returns to the family ranch in Colorado, only to learn that she named her partner as executor of her estate, and that the partner is Zane Douglas (Penelope Ann Miller), his own ex-girlfriend and the one woman who got away. Discovering that his former flame was his mother's secret lesbian lover shakes every assumption he holds about women, desire and family, and forces him to take a hard look at the man he has become. Ann-Margret and Mary Kay Place co-star. Written and directed by Karen Leigh Hopkins and produced by Paul Colichman, Mark R. Harris and Stephen P. Jarchow among others, the film is a romantic comedy about a swaggering ladies' man who finally has to grow up.
